Before dipping her toes into writing and story creation, Shalon spent the majority of her career in the non-profit sector, working for various organizations and managing large volunteer programs before realizing that she’d rather be at home in her sweatpants.
She now hides behind a computer screen in the comfort of her own home, putting all of her weird thoughts on paper. When she’s not writing queer characters and coming up with ridiculous ways for them to humiliate themselves, she can be found stitching swear words into fabric, crocheting mythical creatures for her kids and occasionally remembering she has "real" jobs that don't involve chuckling at her own jokes.
Shalon lives in Madison, Wisconsin with her husband, two kids, and an ever-growing collection of half-finished craft projects.
